New Year’s Day Black-Eyed Pea Soup

by Stacey McNeill | Jan 1, 2021 | Dinner, Entrees, Holiday Recipes, Main Dish, Soup, Winter

We have only a few traditions for New Year’s, and this is one of them. I don’t remember how it started, but I heard that eating black-eyed peas on New Year’s Day was supposed to be good luck, so why the heck not!? Gotta cover all the bases,...

We have an over-achieving Fuyu persimmon tree that gives us loads of fruit every year. No matter how much we prune it back, or don’t prune it, it gives us amazing fruit, each and every year. So, I’m always looking for ways to use the persimmons. We have always enjoyed...
